I am seeking an experienced Aerospace Systems / Development Specialist to join an OEM's team focused on the integration of systems, software and components across a wide variety of commercial aerospace platforms.

- Providing technical expertise in system architecture, redundancy management, fault management, and aircraft autonomy.
- Leading the derivation and integration of system, software, and component-level requirements.
- Overseeing design change management, system integration, verification, and validation in lab environments and flight test settings.
- Collaborating with Supply Chain and Design teams to manage obsolescence impacts.
- Evaluating and managing supplier performance, including SOWs, specifications, and interface control documents.
- Leading hardware/software integration for flight controls and avionics in RTOS environments.
- Conduct qualification and certification activities for flight control and avionics subsystems.
- Work with Quality and Certification teams to ensure adherence to system design protocols.
- Manage IPT schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and staffing requirements.
You will need to have
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (Advanced degrees considered as additional experience).
- Experience:
- 5-10 Years in systems development, integration, and testing.
- Ideally some technical leadership experience.
- Strong background in system requirements derivation, hardware/software integration, and system-level verification.
- Hands-on experience in embedded hardware/software for flight controls and avionics.
- Familiarity with industry standards: RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, DO-178, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, and ARP4761.
- Knowledge of certification processes (TCCA, FAA, or EASA).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
- Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience with flight control systems, avionics, FADECs, inertial sensors, air data computers, mission systems, and actuation devices.
- Safety assessment experience using SAE ARP 4761 (FHA, SSA, FTA).
