Countryside Warden - Temporary Management Role

Location: Tyrella Beach - Downpatrick

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Countryside Warden to manage Tyrella Beach over the summer period and oversee automated car park systems at Council Forest Parks in the autumn/winter. This is a management role combining team leadership, operational oversight, and site safety responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team: rotas, inductions, training, and timesheet approvals
  • Oversee collection of car park income and traffic management
  • Conduct and supervise health & safety checks and risk assessments
  • Supervise outdoor manual activities: grass cutting, litter picking, signage cleaning
  • Ensure Blue Flag standards, site compliance, and accessibility equipment provision
  • Oversee cleaning contractors and staff spot cleans
  • Prepare reports, budgets, risk registers, and service plans
  • Authorise purchases according to Council procurement policy
  • Contribute to corporate, departmental, and regional working groups

Candidate Requirements:

  • Leadership or management experience in a public-facing environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, risk assessment, and site management
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Hours: 36 per week

Rate (PAYE): £19.37 per hour
