Countryside Warden - Temporary Management Role
Location: Tyrella Beach - Downpatrick
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Countryside Warden to manage Tyrella Beach over the summer period and oversee automated car park systems at Council Forest Parks in the autumn/winter. This is a management role combining team leadership, operational oversight, and site safety responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team: rotas, inductions, training, and timesheet approvals
- Oversee collection of car park income and traffic management
- Conduct and supervise health & safety checks and risk assessments
- Supervise outdoor manual activities: grass cutting, litter picking, signage cleaning
- Ensure Blue Flag standards, site compliance, and accessibility equipment provision
- Oversee cleaning contractors and staff spot cleans
- Prepare reports, budgets, risk registers, and service plans
- Authorise purchases according to Council procurement policy
- Contribute to corporate, departmental, and regional working groups
Candidate Requirements:
- Leadership or management experience in a public-facing environment
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, risk assessment, and site management
- Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
